So … Paul’s latest little movie, Police Kestrel, was submitted last weekend to the Nokia internet competition for all-original, made-in-Taiwan, movies. The kestrel-handler (character in movie)’s real life English student knew of the competition and of the movie and suggested — then facilitated — the process of submitting.
Yesterday Paul was notified that his movie is one of the best of the week, and so it gets simultaneous showing on a huge screen on the street in XiMenDing (Taipei’s hot shopping/hang-out district, zhi yi) and in Taichung, and in Kaohsiung. That’ll be tonight.
I suggested Paul take his video camera and video the show and how it looks from the street.
This little movie is on a roll.
